We have a wonderful staff here at our office that has one goal in mind and that is to provide you world class dentistry yet with a feeling of being at home.  We know that most people don’t like to go to the dentist and for some, they feel anxiety over it.  Our promise to you is that we will do our best to develop a system of communication with you that makes you feel comfortable.  We invite you to talk with us about your concerns and we will do our best to answer your questions.

The Team


Scheduling Coordinator

Hannah is the patient coordinator at Dr. Schowengerdt's office. Along
with scheduling patients for their next appointments, she shares the
responsibility of the front desk office procedures. Hannah is originally
from southern Arkansas, but now lives in Nevada, MO with her husband. She
has 2 dogs, a jack russell named Scruffy, and a black german shepherd named
Zeus. Hannah enjoys being outdoors and loves to go hiking, camping, and







Certified Dental Assistant 

Tesla started working here as a Dental Assistant on July 11th 2016, and she says, “I can honestly say I have never been more happy.” Tesla spends most of her time with her baby which is her 6 year old shitzu dog Gunner. He is her life.  Other than that, she plays slow pitch softball for fun. When she is not doing that she spends her time with friends and family.




Financial Coordinator 

Mayra started in our office as a Financial Coordinator in February of 2018. Mayra has a daughter who is 7 years old, her name is Sofia. She also has a beautiful 1 year old baby girl named Natalia. Mayra is originally from Iowa but moved to Missouri in 2017. In her free time, Mayra spends time with her family or friends. Mayra is so pleased to be working for the Schowengerdt’s and seems to have fit in with the team perfectly. 




Hygienist Linda

Linda Schowengerdt is a graduate of UMKC with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys animals and has two dogs Buddy, a rescued Cockapoo and Bear, a rescued Standard Poodle. She is a member of GFWC Laurels and Beta Sigma Phi; and as such works in the community for the betterment of children. She enjoys reading mysteries and gardening. As an active member of First Baptist church she is a volunteer in Children’s Church and sings in her choir. Linda has strived her whole career to teach people how to prevent dental issues. She wants to be your advocate to figure out the best way for you to attain your very best dental health.




Hygienist Assistant

Tierra is the Hygienist Assistant for Dr. Schowengerdt along with those duties; she assists Linda with other office tasks as well. She has two fur babies: Rockey and Hunter both are part Husky and Australian Shepherd. She is a Kansas City native and came to Dr. Schowengerdt due to her sister Tesla by referral. Along with being close while working with family, outside of the office setting she is always family oriented. She is the socialite of the office and brings the team building expertise to the office.  




Dental Hygienist, RDH Rachael

Rachael has been in dentistry for twenty years. She spent five years as a dental assistant and has now been practicing dental hygiene for fifteen years. She moved to Missouri from North Central Florida and has love for faith, family, and friends. Rachael is the bona fide soccer mom of three sons and she is their biggest fan on and off the field. Rachael and her husband Josh enjoy very much kayaking, hiking, and getting lost in Ikea. She sees her patients as extensions of the Schowengerdt dental family and values the relationships she has with each.





Dental Assistant

Tara recently started with us in August of 2019. She was born and raised in Eldorado Springs, and recently moved back to the area from Joplin with her son Brayden. They have a great dane named Theo and a toy poodle named Sugar that are their pride and joy! If she's not busy being a typical boy mom running around to games and practices, she is traveling back to joplin to do hair. Tara enjoys learning the ins and outs of Dentistry, and looks forward to assisting Dr. in all of your dental needs.
